Celebrated pizzaiolo Cary Kemp created the Nine Pies menu and serves as executive chef. Cary began making pizza in Seattle in the late 1980s. In 2004, he trained at the prestigious Sorbillo Pizzeria in Naples, Italy where he learned first hand the true art of Neapolitan pizza making. Back in Seattle Cary helped pioneer authentic Neapolitan-style pizza at various local certified Neapolitan pizzerias. He opened his own shop in West Seattle, Pizzeria 22, to much acclaim in 2011.
Our partner Nine Hats Wines moved to SODO during the summer of 2017. The Nine Hats tasting room adjoins Nine Pies Pizzeria and is separated by a large sliding glass door. With its modern-eclectic vibe, the facility features a baby grand piano, antique toy collection, mahogany bar and casual seating areas with comfortable, overstuffed chairs. It also has a conference room available for business meetings or private celebrations. Nine Hats is open Thursday thru Sunday.
Nine Pies is located in SODO Urbanworks, a mulit-tenant property in the heart of South Seattle.
